A privately owned company, incorporated in Edinburgh, Indiana in 1946 as Midwest Art Metal, M A. Metal. has diversified to include tool & die, production stamping and value-added products. A strong commitment to modern technology in both manufacturing and office functions results in timely, cost-effective delivery of quality products to customers throughout the Midwest.

Founded in 1946, Midwest Art Metal, now known as M A Metal Co., Inc., has grown from a small localized business (located just north of downtown Edinburgh, Indiana) in- to a thriving enterprise providing medium and large-volume progressive metal stamping for business and industry throughout the Midwest.

Following a change in ownership and management in 1992, the company has become rededicated to building a reputation for providing the best quality, dependability, service and price. To help achieve that goal, M A Metal Co. expanded its production facilities, upgraded equipment, instituted higher quality-control measures, increased employee training, and built an experienced and knowledgeable management team to help ensure its ability to meet customers’ demands both now and in the future.

Full Service Capabilities

Through our own capabilities or through partnership arrangements with specialists and specialty firsms, M A Metal Co. has all the necessary design, testing and quality control capabilities to meet individual customer's specific requirements. The Columbus, Indiana area, which is home to Fortune 500 companies such as Cummins Engine Co. and Arvin Industries, has several fine auxiliary shops and service companies which can enhance and complement M A Metal capabilities when necessary.

M A Metal Co., under the direction of a strong management team, has continued to upgrade its equipment and facilities during the past eight years when production has increased 12-fold.. In 1997, two 75 ton Perkins straight-side presses, two programmable 70 ton four post hydraulic presses and a 125 ton Warco straight-side press were added. In 1998 an Aida 120 ton and a high speed 70 ton Bliss was also added. The facility itself was expanded by 12,000 square feet in 1993, again in 1997 by 8,500 and also in 1999 to improve manufacturing flow and material storage as well as add a new quality-control laboratory with a new Brown and Sharp Coordinate Measuring Machine.
