Edinburgh, Ind., April 8, 2009—Local metal forming and stamping company, M A Metal, today announced the addition of a new senior director of sales for major accounts, Rick McConnaughhay. As an experienced and connected salesperson in the metalworking industry, McConnaughhay will pursue new avenues of growth for the Edinburgh-based company.

"The current economy has created a great deal of turbulence throughout manufacturing industries, and specifically the automotive industry," said Fred Stadler, president and CEO of M A Metal. "As a privately owned company, we remain nimble and flexible enough to meet our customers' demands. With Rick's expertise in the automotive and aerospace industries, M A Metal expects additional growth and success that will help keep jobs in Johnson County."

McConnaughhay brings a wealth of knowledge about M A Metal's areas of expertise, including metal stamping, assembly processes, tube bending and Mig welding. He also understands and has a history of meeting the unique demands for quality and dependability required by the automotive and aerospace industries.

"I'm excited to become an integral part of the M A Metal team, and I'm confident that this is a well-managed company poised to fill gaps left by companies experiencing extreme economic challenges," said McConnaughhay. "With the help of the team here, I am committed to providing our customers with the perfect balance of dependability, service, price and quality."
